Beaches in Antalya:
Antalya is popular for its beaches and many of the beaches have been awarded with the blue flag in this region. The two main beaches of Antalya are: the Konyaalti Beach, with lots of basr and entertainment for young and old, closer to the centre of town, is pebbly, with great facilities. It has been awarded a Blue Flag because it’s clean and the waters are very safe for swimming. The Lara Beach, to the east of town, is more popular as it’s sandy, thus more safe fpr little children, again offering all kinds of watersports and entertainment.
Beaches in Kemer:
The Kemer Beach in the Antalya region poles apart in character from the Side or the Olimpos beaches. The Kemer beach does not have a historical lineage or unique natural settings. It is simply a modern and manicured seaside resort, with a wonderful, natural environment. The region has been awarded with the European Blue Flag Environmental Award, given to communities that make a special effort to keep their beaches and marinas clean and manage them with consideration for a local environment. There are two kinds of beaches in Kemer, a pebbly one and a sandy one near the yacht marina and Yoruk Parki, both beaches provide different kinds of watersports and entertainment.
Beaches in Belek:
If you are thinking about a lazy, relaxed vacation, then visit the endless white beaches in Belek, with its view of the pine, full of entertainment and watersport possibilities. These beaches are worldwide famous since the aquatic turtles (Caretta caretta) lay their eggs here every year, which is a big experience for the visitors at that time of the year.
Beaches in Alanya:
Combining sun, sea, pleasure; the Alanya beach is very popular among both local and foreign tourists. The endless stretches of sand, the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea and the rich heritage of the Alanya town, which was once the seat of the Seljuk Turks.
Beaches in Side:
Side is well known for its wide, long and sandy beaches. There are two major beaches, surrounding the old city of Side; one on the east side and one on the west-side. Both beaches differ from eachother in characteristics, f.e. the west beach which is very safe and shallow, is very popular among tourists with small children. Both offer many sporting facilities like parasailing, waterskiing, diving, fishing, boat tours etc.
