Weather in Turkey
Turkey enjoys a variety of weather, earning the country the nickname 'the land of four seasons' (dort mevsim). The diverse nature of the landscape, and the existence in particular of the mountains that run parallel to the coasts, result in significant differences in weather conditions from one region to the other. From the temperate climate of the Black Sea region to the continental weather of the interior ( Anatolia) , and the Mediterranean weather of the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts.
Turkey is located in a large Meditteranean geographic location, where weather conditions are temperate, the Meditteranean coast has a typical Meditteranean climate; mild winters and hot summers. Therefore most touristic settlements are especially located along the Agean and Meditteranean coast. Although the tourist "high season" is from mid-June through mid-September, spring and fall are also good seasons to travel. The season and weather make Turkey a year-round destination depending on your itinerary. The sun is warm and the sky is generally clear.
Weather ( Climate ) In Antalya
The mild weather conditions in Antalya bear the Meditteranean climate features and so offer holiday possibilities in all seasons. One of the most important reasons that the Antalya region has become a main holiday destination is the fact, that thanks to the hotter summermonths, the region has a very long season, think about 300 sunny days throughout the year.
Â
In Antalya the four seasons only appear on the calendar, as there is no real winter here. With an average temperature of 30 degrees celcius (86ºF) from Kemer (west) to Alanya (east), it just keeps getting warmer. You can comfortably swim in the Antalya region ( Kemer, Belek, Side, Alanya) in October and if you want to bake, this is the right place to be. There are so many opportunities in Antalya; sun, sea, beach in the morning, snow covered mountains with skiing possibilities in the afternoon.
One of the main reasons that people prefer to buy a second home here is, that Antalya is a city full of sunshine and opportunities. And more and more people decide to move to Antalya because of the wonderful climate and the cleanest Mediterranean coasts combined with deluxe properties. If you want to experience this wonderful climate, start searching for qualified Antalya properties for sale in the sun.
