The best places to dive in Turkey are the Agean and the Meditteranean coasts. Foreign divers however, should have documentation of their qualification, training and must also be accompanied by a licensed Turkish guide, while diving.

Fishing
Turkey has four main marine fisihing grounds; the Black Sea, the Marmara Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Meditterranean, where fishers can fish for f.e. anchovy, mullet, bonito, sardine, tuna and more. Turkey is one of the four countries which believes that the current rush on Meditteranean tuna should be stopped for a minimum of three years, so that enforcement can be achieved.
As long as you are an amateur, fishing can be done in non-military and non-prohibited areas. Commercial fishing by foreigners could result in heavy penalties. Detailed information can be given by the Department of Fishery at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
