World Golf Amateur Teams Championship is organized among fans once in two years in different continents. In 2010 the championship shall be held in Buenos Aires – the capital of Argentine, and in 2012 in Belek. Belek won the right to hold 2012 World Golf Championship following the nomination held in 2008 by International Golf Federation in the Australian city of Adelaide. Turkey received 76 votes out of 92. Turkish Golf Federation founded in 1996 was awarded the honor of hosting the World Cup as the youngest member of the International Golf Federation.

Belek - is the newest golf center which will held the world championship. Here are 41 high-class hotels and beautiful beach stretching away for 17 kilometers. In some parts of Europe the distance between golf fields can be up to 3-4 hours drive, whereas in Belek this time is only 10-15 minutes. In Turkey golf is growing pretty rapidly, and has became the fastest growing most popular sport. It is planned that 100 new golf courses will be opened in Turkey within the next 5 years.
