Kas is one of the most unusual resorts in Turkey. This charming and very cute town is located at
the crossroads of the Mediterranean and Aegean seas and surrounded on three sides by
mountains and pine forest.
The town is beautifully nestled on the slopes of the mountains. Small houses with tiled roofs,
narrow cobbled winding streets are descending to the turquoise sea. The flowers are blooming
everywhere and cats are wandering around. Spirit of romance and tranquillity is in the air.
During the high season, from April to October, there are ferry routes between the Greek island of
Meis and Kaş. The presence of Greek culture and architecture is still felt here yet. The history of
the ancient city goes back to the 4th century B.C. Kas was was called Antiphellos then and was
given a name “Kaş” at the beginning of the 20th century. Kas means “eyebrow” in Turkish and if
you take a look at the town from a height of a bird’s flight the comparison with this part of the
human face will be obvious.
The waters of Kas are positioned as one of best destinations for scuba diving in Turkey.
Everything here has been designed for leisurely, romantic and relaxing holiday.
